IOC, Russia & China

Now that a UK relay team was stripped of its Olympic medal from the Tokyo Summer Olympics after one member of the medal winning team failed a blood test, this throws a whole new spotlight on the drama happening at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

One might remember that a U.S. lady sprinter just recently questioned publicly what is the difference between her disqualification from the Tokyo Olympics and the failed drug test of the 15 year old Russian skater after the IOC allowed the Russian teenager to continue competing in the Beijing Winter Games after she too failed a test in December.

Okay, we have to mention the age because that was the IOC's reason.

Punishing the Innocent

At any rate, may we add this whole saga has punished the innocent skaters who are still not allowed to stand on the podium and have their Olympic moment for winning their medals because of this conundrum. What does the IOC's inability to act on this matter punish them when they are actually the aggrieved parties? These athletes had not tested for banned substances, trained for these games and competed honestly but will have their once in a lifetime moment, the fruit of their labors taken away from them.

Public Sympathy

And then the media are making the Russian teenager to be the victim (although of course she may be) and how the Russian coach has been harsh on her and probably making her lie or cheat or both.

Olympic athletes especially in these types of events start training very young and none of this treatment and training are new, almost all world class skaters and other related disciplines are subjected to similar punishing high caliber military training regimens. That's the price to pay for Olympic greatness.

But being lenient and indecisive over this incident involving Russia whose Olympic athletes are already competing under the name of the ROC because Russia is under a ban for state sponsored doping are mind boggling and jaw dropping.

If anything the IOC should be harder on Russia for once again failing more drug tests while still serving their ban for the same violation.

And we are not even going to say anything about China who has a long reputation for home cooking and which everyone watching the games have already witnessed several controversial decisions on these ongoing Chinese Winter Games and suspiciously all of these were only benefiting Chinese athletes. One can only wonder why.

Does anyone really have to spell out what's been happening here?

China Is The Most Powerful Country In The World

No one has yet admitted it but China has already emerged as the most powerful nation on the planet for a long time now. 

There I said it. 

China is the most powerful nation on earth, and let no one doubt that. 

Countries in their part of the world knows about this for a very long time, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and all the smaller nations in Asia, particularly those that China has the territorial disputes over the islands in the South China Sea.

China has taken over international organizations. 

The World Health Organization bows down to China.

The United Nations bends over backwards for China.

The U.S., E.U., NATO and Climate Change Leaders walk on eggshells trying not to make China upset. 

Nations which owe China money are on this list.

Giant international corporations, local Chinese companies and the Chinese people fear and go all the way not to antagonize the Chinese government. In fact many countries, companies and sports organizations are held on a lease by China.

Rich and famous Athletes kiss China's feet. 

The news, social media, other prominent people and who else, almost everyone are scared of China.

IOC

Of course even the Olympics have come up with a different set of rules for China than for everyone else.

Take for example Eileen Gu.

18 year old Eileen was born in the United States and she lives there. She is of Chinese and American parents. She studies and trains in the U.S. and basically "visits" the land of her Chinese parent on school breaks, like most families who migrated abroad.

But the thing about Eileen and China is that China does not allow dual citizenship. 

And there is no record of Eileen having renounced her American citizenship or obtaining Chinese citizenship -- which should be a matter of public record.

The response from Eileen when she says that "when I'm in the U.S., I am American and when I'm in China, I am Chinese" is a fairly common sentiment among migrants to the United States. But not when you are representing a nation in international competitions. In the Olympics, there is only one nation that you are representing, you are to choose one.

We know many athletes and countries have done something similar in the past, but the pathways are always messy, complicated and hard to comply with. Now for a country that does not subscribe to the idea of dual citizenship this is really just a case of some old-school host-nation home-cooking right here.

Okay, now the case of the other infamous teenager, 15 year old Olympian (Russian) skater Kamila Valieva is even more bizarre. I guess Russia is riding China's clout and influence and this really makes the power of China even more impressive. 

Still Wondering Why We Are In This Mess?

America, China and the world are where we are now because of what the rich and the powerful have done in collaboration with the Chinese government and the Chinese elite (which are one and the same thing).

U.S. media, U.S. Congress, U.S. Intelligence, and U.S. Tech and social media giants all know about this and in fact many of them are involved. The U.S. was played into making what China is today. 

Speaking of China, we will be remiss if we won't mention its biggest export. 

Virus

The U.S. have financed the
Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as other known and unknown endeavors in China. Whether the pandemic virus came out of that facility, we will never know because the Chinese government have effectively prevented impartial and timely investigations over this and the World Health Organization didn't really help in this regard. 

Did Not Prevent the Spread

In fact both the Chinese government and the leadership of the WHO have failed humanity in relation to this novel virus which originated in Wuhan -- a virus which have cost human lives, human suffering and catastrophic financial losses worldwide, and big financial gains for certain people.

Where are we now? No where. The media is not talking about these. The FBI and U.S. Intelligence are not investigating. The U.S. Congress and the White House are not going to investigate their own. Big Tech and Big Pharma making big money, nothing to see here.

Blind followers of both political parties, personalities and politicians? You know who you are. It is just going to be harder and harder to act like you don't know.

Things We May Not Know About Covid 19

China/WHO - Best in Pandemic Protocols

Just in case, you have forgotten or still do not know yet (not really unexpected as there is just so much news censorship over this)...

Covid-19 was first identified in Wuhan China and it was originally called the Wuhan Virus for several months, at least until the World Health Organization (WHO) deemed it important to change its name.

Pandemic

The WHO took about half a year before they officially announced that this new virus is contagious (and dangerous) and before they started doing steps to contain it. Really, really dropped the ball hard on this one.

During this time their finest work has been to rename the virus.

Known For A Long Time

Anyway, the Chinese government has long known of this new virus, at the very latest November of 2019 (hence Covid-19). 

The WHO has known about this since December of 2019.

Now it is actually every country's duty to report any new virus to the WHO immediately and governments and the WHO needs to take the necessary steps to contain the spread.

As far as we can tell, the Chinese government didn't do that and actually did quite the opposite, hiding it as long as they can (and I dare say, unashamed and unapologetic) and the WHO only announcing that this is a pandemic worth protecting ourselves from, in March 2020.

All this time, China continued to let their people fly out to every country but within their borders they may have silently started efforts to contain the virus.

Why? Because in no time, the country where this all started, have been enjoying a comparatively smoother ride and hardly any deaths related to Covid 19.

China prevented their own people from warning other Chinese citizens and the outside world about this pandemic virus, some of them gone missing or dying from the virus.

The WHO also took their time in determining the source of this virus and China deliberately did everything it can to prevent outside agencies from investigating about this virus within their borders. Did we fail to mention that they hid information then and up until to this point?

Hence everyone is apparently  still in the dark as to where this virus originated from. There is still much debate and uncertainty. 

But no it is not from the Wuhan Lab. No it cannot be from there says China and the WHO, because no one have absolutely found any evidence. I wonder why?

Spread

Back to late 2019 and early 2020, so China allowed their products to ship to, and their people to fly to every corner of the world and over a billion Chinese everywhere in the world to congregate and celebrate the Chinese New Year.

In mid 2020, once they were able to control the virus spread from within their borders (wonder how), they then closed China to the outside world and banned flights going into China, up until today. No return, no exchange, sold as it.

Protect Your Own

I mean there is nothing to see here really, just one country doing its best to protect their people and them including the WHO trying their very best to protect that country's reputation. But at the same time, throwing every other country under the bus and to fend for themselves.

So did we miss anything? Oh yes I believe China already had vaccines being tested on their people as early as June 2020, even earlier of course. It's not as if they would tell anyone how early they did this, would they?

China Limits Online Gaming

So China just limited online gaming for Chinese kids to one hour a day, from 8pm to 9pm and to no more than three hours per week.

If anyone likes Big Government then they probably would want to move to China. And please do it quickly. 

At any rate, even though this law is extreme and too much for any government to get involved in, it is actually not a bad idea.

Just imagine though if this was mandated in the good old U S of A.

Think about it, imagine the uproar. Imagine the anger, the protests. Imagine the destruction.

There will be total anarchy in the streets. America as we know it will soon seize to exist. 

Which if you really think about it, might not be a bad idea.

Video game addiction has been a really big problem and there is nothing really we can do about it.

China Has A Free Pass

Where is the Outrage Over China?

Throughout this entire pandemic year the Chinese government harassed foreign journalists, and  charged and imprisoned Chinese citizens who dared to tell the world about the real conditions there regarding the pandemic virus and their government's involvement in hiding the truth about it.

Sentenced

Just recently, only after a few hours of deliberation, a Chinese court handed down a four year prison term to Zhang Zhan, a Chinese citizen journalist who has been reporting online about their conditions in Wuhan since the early months of the pandemic.

She was found guilty and sentenced to four years in jail for "picking quarrels and provoking trouble".

China is Untouchable

The reality is that the cover ups and the lies about the pandemic and the intimidation, the disappearances and the imprisonment of their own people who were speaking out about these are not something the world do not know about.

And the big question really is
where are all those who call out any other nation for cracking down on press freedom and for human rights violations but at the same time have been giving China free rein and a free pass since the start of this turbulent 2020? Even the World Health Organization would not dare touch them.

What gives?
