Christmas Is Not Looking Good
The perfect storm is here.
Americans are out of work, with more people pouring in. Homelessness is still all around us, and growing.Store shelves are empty. The ports are a mess, and not seeing that issue sorted out anytime soon.
Places where we import products from are bogged down with pandemic protocols and/or have low vaccination rates.
The conditions are perfect.
Perfect Time To Bring Manufacturing Back
The government now needs to give incentives and assistance to people who will open businesses, to those who are working, those who will start working and those who stay working.
Some people aren't working because they are receiving tax payer money as a stimulus.
The climate change problem is still here because we are giving (again), tax payer money to other countries (why, again) who aren't doing anything remotely close to what we are doing about it. Maybe it is time to spend that money right here. Let us spend that money here as we spur people to do business here.
The stimulus now needs to go to people who are opening up new jobs here, and to those who are working those low paying jobs that no one wants to fill.
Real Stimulus
Now that is real stimulus. We need to stir up the economy here, not halfway around the world. Get our people to work again, honest work.
And even bring manufacturing back stateside, let us build cheap homes that our people can afford, and let us start buying American made. This nation needs to go back to being patriotic and nationalistic again. All other countries are, and they prioritize their own.

Every Other Country is Patriotic, Except Us
But we know this is easier said than done as people would want everything to be ultra restrictive, increase the minimum wage, be super environment friendly and have all sorts of made up regulations that actually brought us to where we are now -- dependent on cheap imports where the labor workforce is severely overworked and underpaid and where they care nothing about the environment.
Ironically, just as long as everything is nice in our own little backyard, we do not care what happens on the other side of the world. And just as long as Amazon brings those cheap imports to our front door, and as long as the homeless people are outside our neighborhoods, we do not care.
But guess what? As we all already know, we don't have products on the store shelves, prices are ridiculously high, gas is through the roof, there are homeless people everywhere, there are no jobs, and the jobs available, these no one wants, and climate change is still an issue because governments where most of the manufacturing are taking place do not care about that.
Me think, it's time to do something else.
