Transgender Woman Wins NCAA Female Swim Competition

We see it quite regularly now in sports headlines -- transgender athlete wins.

Okay, so we understand that times are different now. We know there are strict conditions before transgender athletes are even allowed to compete. And we know we all have to be inclusive and all that good stuff.

But anyone else not expecting transgender women to dominate women's sports? Are we all just waking up to the idea that a male athlete who is ranked 500 in mens competitions can be 1st in womens competitions?

We all do, or at least most of us did.

But we all shot ourselves in the foot when we marched and yelled men and women are equal. We have been shouting equal rights for decades. We have been advocating for transgender rights for awhile too. And now here we are, at the crossroads.

Reality

Transgender women are starting to blow away the competition in virtually every womens sport.

This is just the beginning. And there is nothing we can do about it. This is like putting tootpaste back into the tube after we squeezed it out on our toothbrushes. It can still be possible, but it will not be easy, and it will be messy.

Second Place

The decades of women fighting for their rights are now finding themselves second place once again, behind mens and now behind transgender rights.

What now? Do we now admit that men and women are built differently? Do we now admit that men and women are not physically the same?

No, we will not. And that is the big dilemma.

The thing is be careful what we wish for. Because we might get it. Women winning in womens sports may now be a thing in the past.
