A lot of people wants to vilify the police (for good reason). People want to defund the police.
Cities have cut the budget not just to the police but also the fire department (yes even though some mayors are denying this).
Authorities don't want to arrest people. And worse, when they do, they let them out the same day.
Now no one is afraid. People got bold and would do anything.
The Result
Middle school kids, high school kids, young people, middle age, older people, any age, it doesn't matter -- they would try almost anything.
Hidden cameras, email and text scams, porch pirating, 7-11 runs, flash mobs, smash and grab, crash and loot, unprovoked assault... sigh.
This is why we have to be careful what we wish for.
