Trump talked about his ideas back in the 1980s. He gave a glimpse of what he was going to do if ever he became the president of the United States.
Trump was liked by people, or at least they listened to him back then.
So what he is doing now is he is just following through with what he have always maintained from the beginning. Not saying we agree with him, but he believed in what he is doing, even back then.
People today below 40 years would be toddlers or wasn't even born yet, so they probably wouldn't know this.
People are tired of seeing the United States ripped off
Even Oprah liked him.
