9/11

So many conspiracy theories have emerged and warning signs ignored, and anger fueled by the media and politicians, and a war started. But still the fact remains that 3,000 innocent people lost their lives on 9/11 just by doing their jobs or being at the wrong place at the wrong time, so much more injured and the lives of their friends and family changed from that point on.

9.11.2001

On 9.11.2001, around 8 am, 4 airplanes flew out of Boston, New Jersey and D.C. carrying hundreds of passengers who just so happen to be on the same flights with 19 hijackers who were planning to take over the controls and crash those planes into each building of the Twin Towers in New York, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a fourth building in D.C. (either the U.S. Capitol or the White House).

9.11.2021

It has been 20 years and so many of us have moved on.

But for the innocent passengers on those planes and inside those buildings and those whose friends, family and loved ones were maimed or killed, it's hard for us people on the outside to know what they have gone through and still going through.

Whatever our political persuasions are, whatever age or gender, whatever faith and whatever ethnic background we come from, let us not be unaware of what happened that day.

9/11 Phone Calls From the Towers

  • American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower (87 innocent people onboard).
  • United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower (60 innocent people onboard).
  • American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon (59 innocent people onboard).
  • United Airlines Flight 93 crashed on an unpopulated area in Pennsylvania as passengers prevented the hijackers from crashing the plane into presumably the U.S. Capitol building, sacrificing their own lives in the process (40 innocent people onboard).
  • 33 total flight crew members were on duty on these flights.
The U.S. Capitol should have all the names and portraits of the 40 crew and passengers of Flight 93 up on the walls of their hallways, so that members of Congress will have to see them as they walk up and down those halls -- thinking about their last moments and thanking them for their bravery and sacrifice.

9/11 - Worst Attack on American Soil

America has been fortunate as to not have WW1 and WW2 take place at home. Before, 9/11 the worse attack on America was the attack at Pearl Harbor, far away in the Pacific Ocean.

For 9/11, the exact number of people who lost their lives during the attacks that day are unknown. Close to 3,000 innocent people are listed as dead and tens of thousands more injured.

Over 500 emergency workers, firefighters, police, first responders and people working in the military died that day, many more of them injured.

343 of those who lost their lives were firefighters who were just responding to the 911 calls that day.

There is an unknown number of off duty first responders who died trying to help in assisting victims and helping out that day as their sworn obligation to serve and protect, and place others above themselves; one police officer was a passenger of Flight 93.
