There are two things you can still safely do in California.
1. Do religion.
2. Go protest.
The "safer at home" order — which takes effect today (November 30th) and runs through December 20 — prohibits all public and private gatherings with individuals outside of a person's household, with exceptions for faith-based services and protests because they are "constitutionally protected rights." *
We get it people are dying. And the 2nd pandemic wave has started (Historically, this wave is the deadliest wave of any pandemic because people have become tired of the mandated safety measures (msm) and either do not care
or is emboldened by a false sense of security or stupidity (perpetuated by the other msm and social media).
Perfect Storm
LA and California is home to some of the most expensive counties to live in. Entire industries are closed and millions of people have been out of work since the first round of safe @ home orders.
Granted most have done everything to survive day to day, the new orders essentially is giving them just those two avenues left to do -- pray and protest in the streets.
Homeless Capital of the World
People are indeed safer @ home, but only if they can keep them. Rent and mortgage still needs to be paid. But the little money people have left is just enough for food, hand sanitizer and toilet paper.
Small businesses are essentially closed. Property crimes have risen but when people have used up their life savings, hungry and have their backs to the wall, sometimes they could do things they shouldn't be doing.
Yes the pandemic virus is killing people. But businesses that are closed are slowly killing the small business owners and the low end non-essential workers.
Election Year
Politics have made this possible, mainly because politicians made this pandemic political.
The news and social media have made sure of it.
These industries - politics, government agencies, the news and social media are still pretty much essential but can we have the people running them be the ones furloughed and let us put those they put out of work take over their jobs instead. I can't see anyone else doing any worse than they have.
